The welcome Nicole, I, and our children have received in recent weeks has been nothing short of overwhelming. At every turn, TAC people have been there to help us settle in to our new home, and help our children in making new friends. It has been such an encouragement to see God’s people at work in such a powerful way. The world around us would be amazed to hear of this kind of hospitality.

Indeed, our challenge in the time ahead is to work together in bringing the extraordinary message of Jesus’ death and resurrection to our world. Having experienced the kind of welcome that we have (and continue to), I have every confidence that we have an excellent foundation to do so. For the Bible talks about God working to bring the Gospel through the quality of the lives of Christians (cf 1 Peter 2:12).

Even though we have only just started, we have so impressed by the quality of the lives of so many, and the incredible sacrifices that many are making to serve one another. This evidence of the Spirit’s work is a sure sign that exciting times lay ahead. And while I am not sure of what kinds of things that are in store for us, I am sure that it will be a wonderful journey for all of us as we seek to make known the manifold wisdom of God to our world (cf Ephesians 3:10).
