Weekly Blurb Greetings from Peter Kemp

Greetings from Peter Kemp

Sunday 11 March, 2007 · Posted by Peter Kemp

Beverley and I consider it a privilege to be able to fellowship with you for a couple of months. We pray that our time together will be of mutual benefit and above all, to the glory of God.

Since retiring in November 1999, we have undertaken quite a few Locum Tenens: four in the Diocese of North West Australia, one in Tasmania, and eight in Sydney. Our Christian experience has been enriched as we have enjoyed fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ in a variety of contexts.

We know that as you wait for your new rector, you will not mark time in your Christian lives either individually or corporately as the church. The words of the writer of the letter to the Hebrews are challenging:

“Let us consider how we may spur one one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)
