Latest prayer points from Mark & Carol Grieves - CMS Missionaries in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Dear Supporters

Thanks for your prayers, financial support and encouragements through emails and letters. We are busy in Term 2 at University, a difficult term as far as students are concerned with many tests and exams. Despite this we have had encouraging meetings as we look at Spiritual disciplines on a Monday in the Men’s and Women’s bible studies, knowing God better on a Tuesday and the Book of Revelation on a Wednesday.

The homeless ministry is starting to move ahead nicely. A shed is being built at our church as a place for the boys to come and learn woodwork and other skills. Also once a month the offertory is going towards this work allowing the kids to be fed and given other essentials three times a week.

Carol, the boys and myself are all well.

Praise God;

  • For his goodness in times of despondency and homesickness
  • For the regular students attending FOCUS and their growth this term.
  • For the progress with the homeless ministry

Please pray;

  • For the opportunity created with the DaVinci code movie and the seminars I will be leading on Campus around this movie.
  • For the NPO (non-profit organization) number to be approved and given soon so that we can raise money for the homeless ministry work at the church
  • For our Mid Year mission and all the planning we need to do. We are going to Durban with 20 students from 23rd of June to the 1st of July. We will join the Durban campus in having a 3 day conference and then we are running a kids club in an Aids Orphanage called Lily of the Valley. There are about 75 kids currently staying there.
