Latest prayer points from Mark & Carol Grieves - CMS Missionaries in Johannesburg, South Africa

Dear Supporters

Thank you for your continual prayer support.  We are in full swing with Campus ministry and enjoying the meetings we are having with the students.  There is also progress in the homeless ministry that is exciting.  Unfortunately the recent epic loss in the one day cricket final means I have to lay low for a while.  But I’m sure Australia will bounce back in the test series.

Praise God

  • For good numbers at Focus meetings and a core group forming again
  • For the work amongst the homeless.  Last newsletter I mentioned that the offertory was taken by one of the boys.  Well the next day he returned it in tears with the items he had bought.  It was a great encouragement to all of us who have been working with this boy for a long time.
  • From this week on, a man has volunteered to do woodwork with the street kids on a Thursday at the church.

Please pray

  • For wisdom and understanding in looking after Carol’s sisters and our own boys.
  • For the work amongst the homeless as we begin strategies for fundraising.
  • For the first student camp coming up at the end of March.  Pray that many students will come and they will be challenged by the talks on “understanding the big picture”.
  • For Carol and I as we continue to struggle with Zulu language.

Thank you again for all your faithful support.

Mark Grieve
