Lifeworks

Sunday 4 August, 2002 · Posted by Philip Bassett

Well the time has finally come. LIFEWORKS starts this Tuesday. The many people in our church with different jobs to do all have a vital part to play in the success of LIFEWORKS but nothing has a more vital part than our prayers.

Some people, I hope many people, have been praying for LIFEWORKS right from when the concept was first presented, but now that it is upon us prayer is even more vital. Some people will be meeting in the church and praying while the meetings are on in the FEC. Perhaps you might be able to join them. Perhaps you can pray at home, or wherever you'll be on Tuesday evenings.

  • Pray particularly that the Holy Spirit will be moving in the hearts of those who have been invited, that they might hear the gospel and respond in repentance and faith.
  • Pray that all the catering and other physical arrangements go well.
  • Pray for Neil and I as we prepare and present the talks.
  • Pray for the discussion leaders.
  • Pray that those who come will enjoy the experience.
  • Pray today and tomorrow that those who haven't yet quite decided to come may bite the bullet and be there.
  • Pray that any who do commit their lives to Christ may be welcomed into our church and nurtured in their faith.
  • Pray for our handling of the extra load that LIFEWORKS represents on top of keeping our normal programmes going.
  • I'm sure that there are lots of other things you can think to pray for, the important thing is to pray.
