Putting flavour in our church

MSG — Mono-Sodium Glutamate? Mysterious Synergistic Gathering? Moses - Sinai - God? No, MSG stands for Ministry Strategy Group. This group was formed earlier this year to be a companion to the Prayer Strategy Group and the Missionary Strategy Group, and to help us think strategically, develop medium and long term goals which are gospel/ministry oriented.

We've been meeting about once a month and looking at the core values that define our church; what this means in how we conduct ourselves; the sorts of activities we should be involved in; how to evaluate our present activities in terms of appropriateness and effectiveness; and new things that we as a church should be doing.

We've done all this against the background of the Archbishop's Vision for the future and we believe that it's time for us to present the fruits of our efforts to you. So next Sunday, 22nd September we'll be sharing with each congregation where our deliberations have lead us, and encouraging each of you to comment on the group’s findings, and offer suggestions for our future directions. We hope that you will catch the enthusiasm that we feel as we look to grow in maturity and effectiveness, in the gospel ministry that we seek to exercise.

Please pray for us as we prepare the material and for me as I present it to you next week, and come prepared to be part of this exciting process, as we look to our future under God.
