The year ahead is looking good…

In the week just gone, our new staff team spent a few days together. We should give thanks to God, for he has richly blessed our church with this team. We were able to spend much time praying, talking and planning together. And in the coming weeks you will begin to see some of the fruits of our discussions as various initiatives commence across our church.
Although these initiatives may have commenced from such discussions, they are ideas that must involve many across our church if they are to work in assisting us to make known the Gospel of the Lord Jesus. It is this goal that God has left us (His people) on earth to accomplish (cf 2 Peter 3). Certainly something that all can be involved in is prayer. God is doing amazing things among us, and we have even more unique opportunities on our doorstep at this time. Please do pray.
I would also like to encourage you to be in prayer for our annual vestry meeting. This meeting is like an
for our church. We will hold our Vestry meeting at about 11:45am on Sunday 17th February.
At the meeting various reports are tabled and received, and elections are held for various positions. The Churchwardens and those on Parish Council are responsible primarily for the management of our financial and property matters, as well as consulting about ministry matters. Our Nominators are those responsible to work with the Diocese in the selection of a new senior minister (I am not expecting that they will be needed this year!). Our Synod Representatives meet together with those from other Anglican churches across Sydney each year. Each of these positions carries its own significance, and I urge you to pray that suitable people may stand and be elected to these positions.
Praise God that he is working wonderfully among us.
Raj
