We are his people

Theres a special reason why this year YOU should make a special effort to be part of our Church Weekend Away (August 27th-29th).

Its not because we will be spending quality time in the Bible. We will be₀ but we always do!

Its not because we will be spending the weekend at a great spot, right on the water at Port Hacking. We will, but we did two years ago as well (although this year we have the neighbouring property as well as Deer Park for a bit more comfort).

Its not even because it will mean a special opportunity to build our relationships with each other (and thats pretty important this year — lots of new people have joined TAC and our congregations have changed a lot in the last two years!). There will be great opportunities to fellowship and get to know each other better as we encourage each other in our life with Christ. But thats still not it.

Its not even because we will have a different, and very talented guest speaker — Martin Morgan. We will, and his sessions will be a tad different to previous years. But this is getting closer to the special reason for coming this year₀

In February this year, we launched our strategy for the next few years at TAC. It was, and still is, an exciting blueprint for life and ministry here and further afield. Hopefully, you are already seeing some signs of the strategy starting to bite.

But the best and most challenging component of that strategy is still to come₀

One of the best tactics for increasing our impact for the gospel in our local community is multiplying congregations or fellowships. Usually just called church planting, this is a potentially very powerful tool for us. But its also a daunting one when it comes to committing to using it! This is where our Weekend Away comes in.

In the context of great bible teaching, great fellowship, great encouragement — all in a great location — we have the opportunity to come to grips with what it means to be His people. And what it would take for TAC to begin multiplying our presence in our local community.

Martin Morgan was invited for this very reason. He is a gifted and experienced church planter — one who has done it the hard way.

He is also very down to earth and practical, and will work with us while challenging us and encouraging us from Word.

So thats why we should all be queuing up to come on our Church Weekend Away !
