Welcome Peter & Sarah Sholl

Today we welcome our new CMS link missionaries, Peter & Sarah Sholl. They have three children – Karina, Lucy and Miriam. Their plan, humanly speaking, is to use Mexico as a base to support and resource ministry over the whole of Latin America.
Many visitors to Sydney have commented about the relative vast resources we are blessed with as we seek to proclaim the name of Jesus to our community.
In recent years, some have been traveling to India and places in Africa to teach the Moore College PTC courses. A common observation has been that these courses are of incredible benefit to local church pastors, for the training they have is not at that level. It is humbling to see God working around the world in this way, from material that has been developed on our doorstep.
Pete Sholl has been on 4 such trips to Africa, over which time he has seen God work to help countless church leaders grow in their understanding of God’s Word. Now he and his family are making incredible sacrifices to travel and live on the other side of the world, in order to conduct this pioneering ministry in Latin America.
Our church is privileged to be involved in this exciting ministry. It is an incredible opportunity, humanly and strategically speaking, to assist thousands of people grow in their relationship with Jesus. Of course, you cannot grow as a Christian without being moved toward being more involved in evangelism. And here is where the multiplier effect could mean that millions of people hear the Gospel as a result of this work.
But we cannot forget about God, who is sovereign over all things – even human strategic thinking. I do hope that you will personally support the Sholls at least by regularly praying for them.
It is exciting to be involved in God’s work.
Raj
